I have been a boudoir photographer for many years now, and believe me, I have heard so many reasons why now is not the right time for a woman to do a boudoir shoot.
To be honest, they are all BS! They are all a smokescreen that we use to avoid something that scares or challenges us.
Here are the 5 top excuses for not doing a boudoir shoot that I often get to hear:-
This is the weakest excuse I hear! I know when you look in the mirror, you are probably only seeing your wibbly wobbly bits, but honestly, you really aren't seeing the whole of you. I can help guide you to choose outfits to flatter your shape, and my expert posing and flattering lighting will take pounds off you. My clients range from 6 to 26, and they all look fabulous. I think every woman I have photographed felt this way, but they don't feel like that now! None of the images on my website are models. They are all like you and me, they are normal women worried about their lumps, bumps and jiggly bits. I know when they look in the mirror all they see are their "faults" after they see their beautiful images, those perceived faults disappear. It is a myth that most women have a boudoir shoot to create a gift for their partners. Most of the women I photograph are having a boudoir shoot for themselves. BOUDOIR is for you. Connecting you with your own beauty is the greatest gift I can give you. Seeing your beautiful self in a new light is positively life-changing for so many of the gorgeous ladies that I photograph. Your beautiful images will be a permanent reminder of how amazing you are and will give you a boost every time you look at them.
The good news is that you don't have to practise your sexy face in the mirror before your boudoir shoot. I don't expect you to know how to pose, it's my job to gently coach and guide you to create super sexy images of you. I'll even demonstrate the poses for you so you can see how easy they are. Posing and lighting women to create super flattering images is my superpower.
That's not a problem, I bet you have many items in your wardrobe that I can make look super sexy. I bet you have a black bra, an oversized cardigan or jumper, a man's white shirt, a man's tie, a pair of jeans, and a camisole top. I have some corsets, bodies, fabulous designer robes and lots of fabric we can play with.
